Criteria for Services
Once a month, deliveries are made to several senior citizen sites to supplement their income. We provide fresh produce, meats, and staples.
Twice per month, seniors 55 and over are eligible to come to the Food Pantry. Over 800 seniors participate in this program.
Hunger Awareness Month
Annually, the month of September is recognized as “Hunger Awareness Month.” This period is set aside to solicit donations for food banks, pantries, community kitchens, schools, and help ministries.
The Jericho Food Pantry is steering efforts to increase support of the “Metropolitan Area Cry” for rent, clothing, mortgage payments, and utilities needs throughout the community.
“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me…” (Matthew 25: 35, 36) NIV
